I am struggling with this topic because I have to find one amendment that is the most important. I believe that all of them are important. I don't want an easy "A" I want to be the creative classmate. If any input, let me know and respond

The Tenth Amendment is the most important because the powers belong to the people and the states. For example if something is wrong or something else, the people can do smoething about it. this shows that the people have the power to change something that is wrong.

No not really there are more important ones not really because at the time only white men had power these laws obviously this did not not have any meaning to slaves George Washington who owned about 2000 slaves never set any of them free even upon his death rights is a word that has been expanded in it definition hundreds of years later there were still slaves following up to martin luther king jr

What I think that is important of the 10 Amendments it the 1st and the 5th. I pick the 1st Amendment because you have the freedom of speach & religion. What you do or say, it`s okay even if you talk back. This is why I like about the 1st Amendment.

The 3rd amendment is the most important because it helps prevent you from being forced to join the military. For example some people who has a good like with his family does not want to go to war, because he maybe well never see them again. That is why the 3rd amendment is the most important and gives you the choice to chose to go or not.

You are wrong. The third amendment protects you from having to allow soldiers to stay in your home without your consent.

I agree with Wulf. Back when Nixon was president, there was a Draft, where they would randomly pick a birthday and those who had that birthday were sent in into war. This also took place in WWII, as well as the Vietnam War. Now, the military is based ONLY based on volunteers. The third amendment protects you (and your family) from having a soldier come and stay in your home DURING WAR.

I think the 1st and 10th amendment are the most important. I say the 1st amendment because it gives, for one,the freedom of speech. It allows you to speak your mind and not get punished or what so ever. I also choose the 10th amendment because it gives rights to both the government and citizens to make choices. Its important because if something goes wrong;not only does the government get to decide what to do,the citizens also have a say.

This is helping me understand what my study guide is and my 100 point test tomorrow. This is not in my book really. And my teacher doesn’t explain it well!! But I think that the first amendment is the most important. Because this gives you the right to religion and speech. They didn’t have that in Britain. They had to be a catholic religion. Thanks so much ppl

I think that the 5 and amendment are most important becuase the 5 amendment prevents the court to accuse you from the same crime thta why the 5 amendment is important.

i think the fisrt amendment is the most important because it has indivual rights that i think it is imporatnt to have. For example the first amendment allows freedom of speech, I think everyone should get their turn to speak and say what their opinion is. I also think that it's fair. The first amendement also states that everyone has the freedom of religion. It is imporatant because people should be able to choose which religion to be in or to not choose a religion at all. No one should be force to join a religion they don't know or want. This is why i think the first amendment is most imporatant because it says most of IT.

i think that the most important one is the first one because it gives you many individual rights. Because everyone wants to have there own say in the government and help make the world a better place by doing so. The first amendment gives a lot of oppertunities to people in the world to let others know what they want and how to make it a better place. That is why i think that the first amendment is the best one.

1st amendment because it includes freedom of assembly. This means that people can form a group to change something that they do not like. For example if people want better pay, they can join together to form a union and possibly get better pay.

I think the most important Amendment is the 4th Amendment because it includes the Search Warrant, Which means that Party A needs to get a search warrant before he or she can search Party B's property. For example if i wanted to search Person A's property, then i'll need to get a search warrant and if it gets confirmed then i will have the permission to search person A's property.

In my opinion, I think that the most important amendment is the first amendment & second. The first amendment gives you the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, etc. That is important because citizens should be allowed to speak their mind and give their own opinions about something. Although sometimes, it can be very judgemental. The second one is important because citiznes should have the right to bare arms/ be able to protect themselves.

i think amendment 1 and 3 are the most important because amendment 1 gives the freedom of speech and more and it also gives the right to petition. So it gives you the right to say something you want. And amendment 3 protects the people against housing soldiers and the people have the right to be safe in their own homes. So i think these are the most important.

i think the most impartant amendment is the 3th amendment because it protects citizens from millitants. for example if someone from the army comes to your home and tries to give food..you can say no. if someone from the millitery comes to your house to get some clothes ...you can say no. if someone from the navy comes to your house and force you to let them stay in your house you have the right to say no

I think that the most important amendment is the 1st amendment because it gives the U.S. citizen there most important and basic right, the freedom of speech, religion, and the press. Also, another amendment that is important is the 2nd amendment because it gives the states the right to bear arms for emergencies. Everyone profits off of this amendment because it gives the nation government less duties, and the states can protect their own citizens.

Personally, I think the 2nd Amendment is the most important, along with the freedom of speech. If you think about it, if you are able to defend yourself and your family with weapon (or "arms" as stated in Amendment II) you can do almost anything. Many people are afraid of guns, and if the majority of the population is able to obtain weapons, then you can do anything necessary, such as over throw the government. For example, during the Cold War between the US and the USSR, a massacre took place in Tiananmen Square (China), in 1989. This is because students of a college protested against the government for freedom and similar rights that US citizens had. The end result was many people dead, and still no rights or the freedom of speech. If you think about it, you aren't likely to find a Chinese citizen with at least one gun, or even a knife that isn't made for chopping food, or anything to defend themselves.
